Associate Director – Brand Strategy

If you are an experienced brand consultant, either at senior consultant or associate director level, are passionate about brands and brand strategy, then this opportunity will be of interest you. We are looking for several candidates as our client is expanding strongly.  These role are especially well suited to experienced brand strategy consultants looking to become the strategic lead for major clients. As an experienced senior consultant you’ll be ready to expand your repertoire at a ground-breaking new consultancy blending commercial acumen with creative problem solving.

You’ll be someone who has a real appetite and curiosity about understanding how businesses operate and have a track record of using brand to impact business performance. We’ll expect you to have a strong working knowledge of large scale rollout of brand strategy programmes which lead to business transformation or turnaround. With a keen eye and natural flair for finding opportunities, you are flexible, rigorous and resourceful and adept at establishing valuable long term relationships.

The Role

Depending on your experience and ability, you will play a key role in driving the business forward. Your specialism will be in brand strategy but you will have an interest in everything else they do and offer from market research and insight to data analytics and design. You will be given responsibility from day one, working with the team to set the strategic vision on a project as well as scoping and selling in new projects. We’d like someone with an innovative outlook, who will look for ways to experiment, develop and test new product offerings, tools or approaches in a given client context. Wherever possible, they encourage the development of original ideas and points of view. You’ll be familiar with partnering with designers to establish the creative direction for a project, and ensure that creative work supports the strategy and agreed objectives.

Essential Skills

  • Extensive business experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment
  • Genuine passion for brands and branding
  • Strong working knowledge of brand strategy programmes
  • Versatility to work in hybrid roles eg copywriting, design direction, insight
  • An ability to build enduring long-term client relationships
