The search for an outstanding senior business development director is still very much alive.

Working for a stellar but to some degree, under the radar, creative consultancy, our client specialises in brand design and innovation. They are brand guardians for a number of famous brands and are always in attendance at the top table when it comes to the huge brand development projects. As you’d expect, they’re a smart bunch, hard workers, and immensely well rewarded.

Refreshingly they have a well thought out business development strategy. As their Head of New Business you will help to initiate, lead and manage their business development programme, with the support of their Business Development Manager and in partnership with senior management and the wider team as necessary.

To briefly summarise the key attributes we are looking for:-

Consultative seller with demonstrated excellence in both inbound and outbound
2 Project management skills to drive dynamic, concurrent proposal processes
Influence skills to get shit done with a lot of Sr people that don’t report to you
Strategic thinking skills needed to contribute into the provocative point of view (not just the approach section) and tie brand/innovation to bottom line impact
Gravitas speaking skills in the room during the pitch
Leadership skills to manage and support her direct report
Culture fit: clever, low ego, loves design
Hunger: motivated by our client’s ambitious growth mandate
Emphasis on Tier one employers in brand/innovation space

You will help to ensure that our client is part of the discussion when it comes to briefs, pitches, proposals, media and speaking opportunities.
