Senior Strategist – The Role
Supporting their strategy director and strategy partner on some projects and taking sole responsibility for the strategic and consultative output on others. Protecting, nurturing and helping grow the company’s strategic reputation and commercial success by playing a role in ensuring creative and strategy is of a high standard and consistently delivered.
Key duties & responsibilities
- Inputs to, and where relevant, leads and develops communications strategy encompassing brand, brand communications, marketing and employee engagement
- Inputs to, and where relevant, develops strategic process, activates it, analyses it and develops agreed outputs
- Where relevant, develops competent and creative copy
- Where relevant, takes responsibility for ensuring the project as a whole delivers on its key objectives
- Develops and delivers thought leadership through articles, thought pieces, strategic campaigns and taking an active role in the events, and marketing calendar
- Manages in an organised, meticulous, thoughtful and creative manner, delivering thorough results that are distinct and fit for purpose
- Networks and manages client and contact relationships
- Facilitates and presents in the delivery of projects, and happy to speak at events
- Collaborates actively with the creative team to help the exploitation of and connectivity between strategy and creative
- Collaborates actively with client management to ensure effective and commercial delivery of projects
- Supports new business in the new business cycle from proposal to pitch to conversion

Senior Brand Strategist – Requirements
- 5 – 10 years strategy experience predominantly gained agency-side. But not necessarily from a brand strategy consultancy. Will certainly need to demonstrate a good handle on brand but above all we are looking for a talented strategist.
- Will have developed some solid competencies and has a track record in leading specific components of a project
- Looks outside work and able to bring inspiration in
- Keeps abreast of what’s going on the creative and business worlds
- Though likely to be brand led, strategy and communication skills capable of being applied to the broader brand communications and employee engagement arena
- Some level of sector capability is desirable in B2B, financial services, professional services or similar
- Balances analytical thinking with creative flair
- Thoughtful, meticulous, collaborative, organised, interested
- Confident about presenting to senior clients and facilitating groups, meetings and workshops
- Happy to network
- Plays well in a team but not afraid to have a strong opinion
- Believes that strategy is more problem solving than theory and models
- Flexible in approach and always looking to develop and grow

- Action and results-oriented, taking ownership throughout projects
