Brand Strategy Consultant

Primary role

• To support our client’s strategy team through day-to-day delivery of client work. • To help develop existing client engagements through building strong relationships with the client team. • To play a positive role within the office and work closely with both strategy and design colleagues.

Key responsibilities

1. Project Delivery • Under direction help ‘crack’ the problem and communicate solutions for clients while balancing the need for analytical rigour with creative insight. • Have an intuitive and creative problem solving strength while being comfortable working with numbers • Be comfortable participating in a breadth of engagements from the quantitative, e.g. consumer research through to more creative such as creating a brand positioning. • Work with a team that encompasses a diverse range of backgrounds. • Make effective use of the global ‘pool’ of previous examples and experience.

2. Development of client relationships • Develop strong relationships with clients beyond just achieving high quality results. Actively look for ways to engage professionally and/or socially to become the ‘go-to’ person when clients have questions

3. Positive office role • Support the team in developing the office culture. • Take responsibility for certain elements of office admin to support its smooth running.

Candidate Profile • Have outstanding academic results • You’ll probably be a ‘second jobber’ having already gained experience within a creative strategy environment, e.g. P&G or branding consultancy. • You’ll be intellectually curious and interested in the broad scope of our client’s business – ‘gets’ what we uniquely do. • Demonstrate powerful creative problem solving. • Gets changing trends and wider social context. • Understands the role of brand within the context of delivering a business strategy. • Have a point of view and a ‘nose’ for addressing branding issues. • Have demonstrated experience of end-to-end delivery of consultative engagements in a team environment • Works both “hard” and “smart”. • Good people skills (and grace under pressure). • Be comfortable working internationally, primarily within Europe. • Will add a positive energy to their office. • Be prepared to ‘get hands dirty’ and ensure the more routine aspects of the job are completed. • Needs to be able to balance the needs and requests of a variety of strategy and design partners. • Ability to communicate confidently and credibly with clients by phone, email and face-to-face.
