Senior Brand Consultant / Strategist
The role:-
Job Purpose You will be responsible for the delivery of high profile projects, leading others in the team to produce work that delights their clients. You will be leading client projects from brief through to successful delivery. You will also be responsible for growing existing and new client relationships and driving business growth through these.
Key Responsibilities Lead projects from start to finish o Lead the strategic thinking at the heart of the project, ensuring quality of thinking o Manage the profitability of large projects, maximising revenue or decreasing costs where appropriate o Quality control – maintaining the highest standards of output, in written communications with the client, workshop environments and intellectual content o Extract insights from complex research, identifying the implications and ideas that the insights inspire brand growth. o Manage a team of consultants to deliver the project successfully o Facilitate others in generating ideas, leading the creative process with Clients
Business Development o Identify new target Clients to build relationships with and cultivate o Work with the new business team to target these, setting up and attending new business meetings o Take client briefs, and develop and deliver proposals o Spot opportunities for new projects and added revenue from existing clients and convert these into projects
Skills and Experience • Significant brand consultancy and / or in-house marketing experience • In-depth brand awareness • Ability to understand brand and marketing issues from both a strategic and commercial perspective • Understanding of how brands work, and the types of challenges they face • Experience of working on a range of brand problems, including positioning, innovation, repositioning, brand architecture and portfolio review • Demonstrable experience in leading the thinking on projects to solve brand problems/challenges • Experience in leading projects with high degrees of responsibility • Excellent communication and influencing skills • Strong presentation & facilitation skills • The ability to think laterally and creatively • Able to evidence new business development experience • Experience working with FMCG brands, and any financial services and pharmaceutical experience would be particularly desirable • Relevant undergraduate & post-graduate degrees from a top university or equivalent
