Senior Consulting Manager

Candidate Profile We are now looking for a senior, experienced new team member, to catalyse further growth and act as a role model to the other highly talented team members.

Education You will need to have achieved a high level of academic attainment – preferably Oxbridge, but certainly a minimum 2:1 from an established University.

Experience You will have experience of strategy/marketing consultancy and also a leading client company, ideally with consumer goods or service sector experience. It will also help if you have an active interest in human behaviour, psychology, etc.

Capabilities Candidate must be able to demonstrate initiative and ambition. You will need to be able to demonstrate business and marketing experience underpinned by strong consumer / customer skills and experience of strategy development and implementation. You will have excellent communication, presentation and ‘people’ skills and the gravitas to operate effortlessly at a senior level. It would help if you had relevant consulting sector expertise bolstered by an appreciation of its competitive landscape and future strategic challenges.

Role You will lead the design, development and management of projects within a flexible team-working environment. There will be involvement with the design and direction of analysis of complex data synthesis into concise, powerful insights and strategic recommendations.

People Management Typically, you will be involved in co-ordinating, motivating, coaching and supervising 1-2 consultants per project. It will also be important to foster strong business-building relationships with senior client staff.

Communication You will be involved in leading, facilitating and controlling discussions amongst large senior groups in a workshop setting, so it is important that you enjoy this kind of work.

Business Development You will take primary responsibility for selected client development activity and contribute to winning new business. We will look for evidence of a strong network and preparedness to generate leads / new business. There will also be the opportunity to add value to our client’s consulting model by assisting in the development of new consulting processes/tools. As a senior team member you will also actively contribute to company strategy, as well as to the company’s culture, values and team spirit

Technical skills Advanced Microsoft Office skills including ability to draw tables and charts, manage data and write basic formulas. Facilitation skills practiced at high level.
