What we will like about you…….. THEORETICALLY GROUNDED: With a degree in psychology / languages / critical theory / literary theory (English or modern languages). Able to name drop Jung, Freud, Heylen & Maslow etc. Interested in NLP, Archetypes, Gestalt theory & Neuroscience. FASCINATION FOR PEOPLE: You’ll have an irresistible desire to understand people’s motivations, desires, hopes, fears and dreams BRAND FANATIC: You’ll have strong opinions about the role that brands play in people’s lives. You can articulate how great brands are an expression of people’s desires and anxieties and will have a passion for translating this into action. A COMPULSIVE DEEP DIVER: You will have a natural nosiness., with a love of analysis & a drive to approach problems from a number of different perspectives. You are someone who will leave no stone unturned until you are satisfied you’ve reached the most compelling insight. What can you do? You will need to be self sufficient in qualitative research, although less experienced candidates will receive training in ethnography, moderation and analysis. You’ll be happy to work with other disciplines e.g brand strategists, experts, cultural insight and quantitative researchers as part of multi disciplined project teams. If you have experience of international project management, as well as groups, depths and different methodologies, then even better! We are looking for outstanding individuals who can ‘cut to the chase’, and are excellent distillers of insight. You’ll be someone who presents in a succinct and compelling manner with a love of presenting in a different manner. You can happily and effortlessly apply more traditional qualitative techniques and can embrace less traditional/more creative approaches. For example, you will love to get out of the viewing facility, getting consumers together with clients, working with groups of friends and doing ethnography. If you have experience of applying semiotics – terrific. Essentially, you will be ‘always on’, seen by clients and internally as a ‘new perspective’ who brings together ‘fresh thinking’.
