A ‘master’ in Quantitative skills, a Director at our client will combine overall client relationship skills with the ability to genuinely see the bigger picture, presenting a point of view on Quantitative methodologies and discussing this within broader issues with clients.
A Director should spend around 50% of their time in activities directly related to Quantitative methods. The rest should be spent between the consolidation of experience in other skills and the development of client relationships.
The project side of this particular role would focus on Segmentation, Brand Equity and other ad hoc projects. This role would also require the ability to understand and explain our client’s methodologies to clients.
Key Responsibilities A Quantitative Director would have responsibility for:
– Heading up a range of projects, managing and developing the project team – Taking an active interest and demonstrating a good understanding of clients’ broader marketing-led issues and challenges, using this knowledge to help leverage new projects – Owning and farming clients across the breadth of their offer; primarily focused on farming larger clients, but also has ability to bring in new business from medium/smaller clients – Delivering Gross Margin revenue of at least £400k. – Managing all client business efficiently, ensuring agreed profit targets are hit and seeking opportunities to improve profitability for the agency – Being the ultimate person responsible for the development of a point of view of our client’s Quantitative methodologies and innovative initiatives towards those. – Taking decisions on the optimum approach to people development required by the agency to meet ongoing needs and take recruitment decisions for any potential agency recruit up to Director level
Key Skills – Able to respond with creativity to complex client briefs and develop an appropriate and inspiring written proposal – Demonstrate a solid commercial business vision in order to become real business partners with clients – Can apply a broad knowledge base to provoke client thinking beyond narrow brand/category parameters – Able to create any written presentation related to owned projects, delivering additional gravitas to more hierarchical/tricky client situations – Can take findings and apply a variety of different models of thinking to arrive at a final solution – Can engage and involve client teams, developing client skills via their client relationship, motivating them to deliver optimum solutions – Able to coach and develop to more junior people, yet able to take tougher individual people development decisions and actions where necessary
