Brand Copywriter
You write the words that bring brands to life, on all your projects.
You work closely with the designers to understand their thinking, develop your own ideas and marry the two in an irresistible combination.
You come up with words and ideas for brands, and talk the team through them. Their reactions strengthen the work, and often throw up new concepts for you to develop.
You let everyone shape your words: project managers, designers, strategists. It’s a team effort, and the objective is to build the best brand possible, around the most powerful brand idea.
You fight for your ideas when you need to, but you’re also happy to compromise and go with the consensus of the group. You’re just as good at building on the ideas of others, as developing your own.
You are flexible enough to rework your thinking, if that’s what’s required: if people feel it’s not there, the client probably will too.
As a matter of course, you create more than one option for people to choose from. Often, options 2 and 3 are better than the first one that comes to mind.
You ensure that all communications are on-brand and on-tone. That doesn’t mean using your tone of voice, but using the tone of voice that’s right for each brand.
You write everything from taglines to headlines, from brand stories to brand guidelines: whatever is required.
Your role in the team
You are the person that goes to most meetings, deals with the client face-to-face, and uses that close contact to help develop the work as a whole.
You present your work to clients, with the rest of the team.
You verbalize the most important messages and communicate the brand idea. You inspire the team and help them translate their ideas in the most powerful way.
You are always asking ‘what can I do to move it forward’. You don’t wait to be briefed, before doing great work – and inspiring your teams.
You are responsible for meeting deadlines, and ensuring all your commitments can be met.
You think ahead to the future challenges that the project faces. You often surprise the team by doing things on your own initiative and coming up with useful ideas to take to the client
We are:-
A highly progressive brand consultancy, with a cosmopolitan client list of the world’s most exciting brands. We are very busy and continuing to expand – this is an immediate role.
